As we head into the holiday weekend, I would like to note that Billy has slept through the night maybe twice since we left New Mexico.  Last night he was up at 1:30 and got up for good at 5:30.  It is making me crabby.  There will likely be fireworks, but not the pretty kind.

We spent the morning and early afternoon at the beach.  Lindsay is building quite a shell collection.  And everyone was buried today.  We still can’t keep Billy out of the water.

Today was Karl’s last day at camp.  They closed the week with a small ceremony and performance where Karl was a pirate.  He had a great week and I recommend the camp highly.

Annoying Grandmother Next To Me (AGNTM):  [ring, ring, ring, ring] Hello?

AGNTM: Oh, hi! I meant to call you earlier. Yes! We are planning to grill mahi tonight. Can you and Steve join us?

Me:  [videotaping]

AGNTM:  Oh, I see. Well, can you come by next Tuesday?  Blah, blah, blah..

Me:  [points to the stage]  Excuse me, but we are trying to listen to that.

AGNTM:  [shamed by the whippersnapper in very-cool flip flops] Oh.  Sorry.
